Malaysian Cooking - Basic Ingredients

Everyone has heard of Mexican food, and everyone has heard of Tex-Mex, but not everyone has heard of or tried New Mexican food. A great place to try New Mexican food is the Santa Fe Tequila Company. If you are looking for unique food in Denver, Colorado this is the place for you.

Now let's talk about drinks. I love these really good drink they make with a cherry on top and a sword stuck into it. These drinks are really good, and made with real fruit. They come in pineapple, strawberry, and orange flavors. They are kind of expensive though. They cost about $3.99 but they are of a big size and taste great. Those are the high light a specialty of their drinks. They of course have soda, beer, and liquor at the Elephant Bar. One drink I recommend getting is a Black Widow, it's alcoholic and very strong.

Juicer - This is a no brainer. To really get the nutrients, vitamins, and fiber from fruits and vegetables, you need to consume produce in its freshest form. Using a juicer allows you to "drink" your fresh produce and enjoy the great tastes of your creation all at one time.

As far as food is concerned, there is no substitute. The chicken falls off the bone, and the brisket melts in your mouth, but the real prize of the kitchen, is the slow cooker pork ribs. Rubbed simply in salt and pepper, these ribs are smoked to perfection, the meat barely hanging on to the bone. Ordered as a plate meal, the ribs pair wonderfully with rice and pinto beans and a glass of homemade lemonade. After a bowl of banana pudding for dessert, be sure to order a slab of ribs to go before paying the check.

Don't even think about boiling those ribs! Above all else, boiling the meat causes it to lose all its flavor. If you just have to pre-cook your ribs before slapping them on the cooking grate, try steaming your slabs instead as this will help lock the flavor in.

If you'd rather eat than cook, there's a contest for you, too. At 6 pm on August 27, the opening day of the rib cook-off, the 3rd Annual World Rib Eating Competition will commence on the main stage of the event. Be forewarned though - top professional eaters from around the world will be in attendance. (I'm still wondering how one becomes a "professional eater" and where I can sign up.) Joey Chestnut, winner of last year's rib eating contest, managed to somehow scarf down 7 pounds of bbq ribs.

The Reno rib cook-off will also be the site of an extended arts and crafts fair with over 200 booths. Children and carnival-lovers won't be left out either. A Kids Area with obstacle courses way trampolines paddle boats slow cooker pork ribs and other amusements will be located near the crafts exhibits. The nearby Coca-Cola Game Zone will offer even more activities.

Best: A microwave is your best option. By installing a voltage inverter of a large enough size to handle a microwave, you can have a good hot meal in a matter of minutes. This won't cost you a fortune either. A 1500 watt inverter (changes 12vdc to 110vac) will probably cost you a couple hundred dollars. And a microwave is as cheap as $39.95. You'll find plenty of use for that inverter besides baked pork ribs, nothing like having 110ac available when making repairs on the truck. If you want to make a good breakfast, a portable hot plate and frying pan will be the ticket for your next batch of eggs and bacon. A little popcorn at the next rest stop?
